Unlike the majority of Britain, I always enjoy January and February. After utter overindulgence at Christmas I feel ready to welcome a healthy new start. I think the secret to making it through these harsh winter months is being good to yourself. Light the candles, buy some new pyjamas, get cosy, cook something hearty and dance around the kitchen, glass of wine in hand.
It's an extra struggle for your skin during the winter. Getting through a two litre bottle of water every day can seem an impossibility. It is however easier to get your water intake up through endless cups of herbal tea. I've swapped out my usual first cup of the day from English Breakfast to ginger and lemon hot water. When the busy day is done I like to be overindulgent with the night oil and make time for extra sleep. It's ok to hibernate for a couple of extra hours guilt free.
We will be seeing the first signs of Spring before you know it.
Stay happy. Be good to yourselves,
